| Trade Secrets Donates 2,000 New Mini-Flat Irons to Local Women’s Shelters

Trade Secrets, one of Canada’s leading professional beauty retailers, is announcing their donation of 2,000 brand new Matrix mini-flat irons (retail value of $40) to local women’s shelters in support of their 4th Annual Give + Take Appliance Trade-In Event running from August 14th to October 1st, 2010. Trade Secrets is practicing what they preach by donating $80,000 worth of internationally renowned professional hair-styling appliances to women’s charities including Rosalie Hall and Yellow Brick House.
Earlier this month, Trade Secrets called upon Canadians to donate their gently-used hair styling appliances in support of the 4th Annual Give + Take Appliance Trade-In Event. Given the generosity of their consumers, Trade Secrets is always looking to partner with additional women’s shelters in Canada.
“Trade Secrets is committed to being a socially responsible organization in every aspect of its brand,” Paolo D’Elia, General Manager at Trade Secrets, said. “Through the Give + Take Appliance Trade-In Event, we have donated over 12,000 gently-used hair styling appliances to local women’s shelters over the last three years. This year our goal is to collect over 6,000 appliances and improve the daily beauty regimen of thousands of Canadian women in need.”
The Give + Take Appliance Trade-In Event strives to empower and inspire the lives of formerly abused women and children residing in local women’s shelters from coast to coast. “There is no better way to kick-start this campaign,” D’Elia asserted. “By providing a luxury not otherwise available to women in these shelters, we are partaking in the rejuvenation of their confidence and self-esteem.”
To participate, consumers are asked to bring their gently-used hair styling appliances to any Trade Secrets store location. As a thank you, consumers can receive 50% off the purchase of a GS Professional flat iron or blow dryer.
