I faked my tan with FAKE BAKE self-tanning products
It feels as though winter continues to drag on with temperatures hovering around zero degrees amidst budding trees and flowers. That’s why I’ve turned to Fake Bake, a safe and easy-to-use self-tanning treatment. I’m conscious of the harmful effects of tanning beds and at a time like this, I’d much rather prefer to fake it than burn it.
If you want to achieve a natural, sun-kissed glow that isn’t accompanied by an orange tint (like the one above), streaky lines or a strong smell, here’s a step by step guide on how to use Fake Bake’s Bronzer featuring me, myself & I.
1. Before using any tanning products, make sure you cleanse and polish your face with Fake Bake’s Bamboo Buffering Face Polish (as seen on the sink) to remove any impurities or dead skin cells. Begin by washing your face with lukewarm water.
2. Dab a small amount of the Face Polish on your fingers and apply on a wet face.
3. Gently rub the polish in a circular motion for a minute.
4. Rinse the Face Polish off and pat with a towel in preparation for the application of the Bronzer.
5. Put on the blue latex gloves (included in the Fake Bake box as seen on the sink).
6. Apply a small amount on your finger. I’ve opted for Fake Bake’s Bronzer Matte Medium Instant Tan Lotion, a wash-off tanning formula that gives me the versatility to go from pale to baked and pale again. The formula may appear to be super dark, but do not be alarmed as it will blend and lighten.
6. Rub the formula between your fingers and begin applying the Fake Bake Bronzer to your face in a circular motion. Ensure that you properly blend the colour by continuing the circular motion until your face is all one colour.
7. Do not forget to apply product on your neck …
8. … and ears … and the tip of your nose.
9. Here’s what it looked like after blending in the colour (see, it’s not orange or as chocolate as when this process started).
10. But, I thought this was too dark for my liking so I decided to wipe some of it off by washing my face and patting it dry.
11. Here’s the final product: just the right amount of glow!

how much is it?
Will it look funny if you have freckles
And will it turn you orange if you have very fair skin?
@ Meghan: The price for the FAKE BAKE self-tanning products range from $25 and up. Freckles shouldn’t be a problem because it will blend in with your skin and as long as you don’t apply too much, it won’t turn orange. We recommend FAKE BAKE Flawless as it comes with a mitt which can help you get rid of any excess products on your skin.
thank yooou
