How to paint the Burberry pattern on your nails

Last week, our stores began receiving Misa Cosmetics Nail Art, a collection of 12 fun-sized polishes with thinner brushes that are perfect for adding flare to your manicure. I’ve played around with dots, half moons and even an image of the sun, but today, the Bronze Goddess has taken it to a whole other level by painting the Burberry pattern on her nails.

1. As always, your DIY manicure should begin by removing any old polish using OPI Acetone-free Polish Remover.

2. Add a layer of OPI Natural Base Coat followed by a coat of OPI Hopelessly In Love (a pinkish peach) to achieve base colour of the Burberry pattern. To achieve complete coverage, the Bronze Goddess opted for 4 coats of polish.

3. Now’s the fun part! To achieve this look, you’ll need Misa Cosmetics Nail Art polishes in: Sexy Back, Going Co-Co Nut and No Point of Return.

4. The Bronze Goddess recommends printing out an image of her nails to reference where to draw the lines on each nail. All you need is a steady hand, a flat surface and about 15 minutes of free time.

5. Finish off the look with a layer of OPI Top Coat to protect the design and achieve maximum shine.

Voila, she’s stylin’ and profilin’ with her Burberry manicure, bag and scarf (okay, she doesn’t actually have a Burberry bag or scarf, but she’s still stylin’ nevertheless).

This is a very fun look. I might. Have been better if we knew which stripes went on when though. Would save me time trying to fix mine lol

@Mel: Thank you, thank you! I don’t think I have the ability to create such straight lines (especially with my left hand), but I agree, it seriously looks AMAZING!

@Michelle: I will look into updating this post with the exact details of the how-to for the lines. Stay tuned!

Hey Sam,
The Misa Cosmetics Nail Art Collection should have actually arrived at our Colossus location today! Give them a call to double check that, of course.

That’s hot! Does Misa only carry nail art or do they make regular nail polish too? Can you tell me which colour lines go on first?

Thanks Liz! Misa does carry actual nail polish and it looks like it will be rolling into our stores sometime during the summer! I will definitely let everyone on Twitter, Facebook and the blog know.
