OPI Designer Series Temptation and Bold

OPI Designer Series is a collection of ultra-rich, glimmering nail polish colours. What makes these polishes different from all the others is their spectacular diamond-dust formula. But like other OPI polishes, Designer Series shades contain no DBP, Formaldehyde or Toluene, and feature OPI’s exclusive Prowide brush.

OPI has recently added two shades to its collection of 12 lacquers: OPI DS Temptation and OPI DS Bold.

OPI DS Temptation is a blue-based polish with purple, blue, silver and magenta glitter. Surprisingly, it’s not purple-based. That’s what makes it different from the OPI Grape … Set … Match and OPI Servin’ Up Sparkle combination from the Serena Glam Slam England Collection.

This shade is pretty sheer and required 3-4 coats in these images to achieve the purple look. You’ll ought to wait some time in between coats to avoid clumping and smudging.

OPI DS Bold really surprised me. This is a pinkish/coral (rather than red as described by OPI) with pink and silver glitter. The formula is much less sheer than that of OPI DS Temptation and only took 2 coats of this coverage. This weekend, I’ll be wearing this shade. And even though it’s a coral, it still seems very much appropriate for fall.

Have you tried any OPI Designer Series nail lacquers? What are your thoughts on OPI DS Temptation and DS Bold?
